Our Pistons & Pretzels car design gathering is heading North!

We launched Pistons & Pretzels in 2019 in Munich to create a relaxed and inspiring space where automotive, transportation, and mobility designers could meet, share ideas, find new opportunities, and fuel their passion for design. Since then, the event has travelled across Europe and the US – from Germany to the UK, Sweden, Italy, and California – bringing together the global car design community in memorable locations.

This summer, we’re thrilled to host Pistons & Pretzels in Gothenburg, Sweden – the home of Volvo Cars – for the next edition of our design meet-up.

Founded in 1927, Volvo has grown into one of the world’s most respected car brands, recognized for its leadership in safety, innovation, and Scandinavian design. With a presence in over 100 countries, Volvo continues to shape the future of mobility through a human-centric approach. We’re proud to be partnering with Volvo for this event, offering our community a chance to experience the brand’s design philosophy up close — in the city where it all began.

As always, we invite participants to bring along their own cars and motorcycles – or simply join us to admire the collection, connect with friends and colleagues, and enjoy a day full of inspiration in an informal, welcoming atmosphere.

We couldn’t imagine a better place to host this gathering than Volvo’s home turf in Gothenburg. Come celebrate design heritage, innovation, and the people behind it all.

Although we at Konzepthaus are organizing this event, it will remain a non-recruitment, non-sponsored gathering – a small “Thank You” to the global car design community for your passion, creativity, and energy.

The event is free for all registered participants, and every guest will receive a free meal and drinks. To attend, you must be a member of the Car Design Community or be invited by a member. We reserve the right to review registrations and withdraw tickets if the attendee is not part of the car design community or a guest of someone who is, or if multiple tickets have been purchased for the same individual.

Please note that registration is mandatory – no entry will be allowed without it.
