This Grasshopper parametric design course gets you started with parametric design, building flexible geometry logic that speeds up iteration and supports automotive design exploration. As hands-on Grasshopper training, it focuses on the procedural workflows that give designers control and reusability.
This 5-day introductory Grasshopper parametric design course equips designers with the foundational skills to use Grasshopper, the visual-scripting environment inside Rhino, as a parametric modelling tool for automotive design. Rather than teaching scripting for its own sake, we frame every session around real automotive applications, the grills, skins, and patterned surfaces where parametric control genuinely pays off.
From basic node logic through to advanced attractors and pattern manipulation, the course empowers designers and modellers to work procedurally. As a result, your team unlocks faster iteration, reusability, and creative control in 3D design, building geometry as adjustable logic rather than fixed shapes. By the end, designers can build dynamic, data-driven structures such as textured grills and skins, with full control over both geometry and the logic behind it.
Who this Grasshopper course is for
This course suits designers and modellers who want to work parametrically and explore form through logic rather than manual modelling alone. Because it starts with essential Rhino and Grasshopper functions, no prior Grasshopper experience is required, though some general 3D familiarity helps. We deliver it as an intensive five-day format for small groups, so the coaching stays hands-on and rooted in real automotive geometry.
Over five days, you will progress from core node logic to exporting complex parametric patterns. Key outcomes include:
