Build scalable HMI systems with advanced prototyping and governance, enabling complex flows, robust libraries, and production-minded handover.

Course Goals

This 5-day advanced course is for HMI designers who already work with components and basic system and now need enterprise-level craft. The focus is governance, token architecture with variables and modes, scalable libraries, and prototype logic that holds up in serious reviews with product and engineering.

Designers will develop the skills to lead, evolve, and govern a production-ready HMI design system in Figma, with robust tokens, scalable component architecture, advanced prototyping logic, and a clean design to development workflow.

Key outcomes

  • Build a future-proof variable architecture
  • Create a scalable component strategy that stays maintainable under real HMI complexity
  • Prototype complex HMI flows using variables, conditionals, and multiple actions
  • Improve system quality through accessibility checks, contrast validation, and annotation habits
