On a sunny summer day in Gothenburg, Pistons & Pretzels returned to Sweden, and what better way to mark the occasion than with a powerhouse presence from one of the country’s most iconic brands: Volvo Cars. From design innovation to automotive heritage, this edition was a true celebration of Sweden’s automotive soul.
In an extraordinary homecoming moment, Volvo didn’t just show up. With a jaw-dropping selection of production models and heritage vehicles, the brand brought together past, present, and future in one unforgettable display.
Guests had the chance to get up close with Volvo’s latest innovations, including the EX90, EX30 Cross Country, the new ES90, the XC90 (2025), and the outstanding EM90 – a striking showcase of the brand’s evolving vision for electric mobility and design-forward thinking.
But Volvo didn’t stop there. Their Heritage Collection stole the spotlight, bringing serious nostalgia and design admiration from every corner of the event grounds. Highlights included:
Seeing these classics side-by-side with cutting-edge electric models offered a rare, full-circle look at the brand’s design evolution—from analog icons to digital dreams.
Adding a layer of frosty flair to the lineup, Polestar brought their Arctic cars to the show, turning heads and drawing camera lenses with every icy angle. It was a fitting reminder that Scandinavian design thrives not just in function and form—but in fearless exploration.
As always, Pistons & Pretzels lived up to its name. Guests mingled over good food, coffee, and pretzels, soaking in the coastal energy and connecting with like-minded car and design enthusiasts. Whether admiring a vintage coupe or chatting with Volvo designers, the atmosphere was easygoing, warm, and unmistakably Gothenburg.
Since 2019, Pistons & Pretzels has grown into a community-driven movement, and the Gothenburg edition reminded us what it’s all about: bold design, shared passion, and the joy of coming together. Thank you to everyone who made this edition special, from our partner Volvo, to every single guest who brought energy, conversation, and great vibes.
